We utilize multiple sources for our data. This list may not be exhaustive and we do not recommend citing MilitaryBudget.org in any research or policy papers. Our information is provided as-is and we make no guarantees of accuracy. The sources below will have more up-to-date info.

Military Spending Data: We use SIPRI.org’s data for spending and gdp data as it relates to the military in each country from 2001 to 2012. They have data as far back as 1988 on their website.

Resources & Population: For the information found in the sidebar for each country we utilized the CIA World Factbook for things like GDP, languages, capital, populations, area, and resources.
